plain-English, no jargon tax ✍
Case study A structured account of a customer's problem, what they did, and the measurable result, used as proof rather than persuasion. Comparison page A page pitting your product against an alternative, or listing alternatives, to capture high-intent X vs Y searches. Content audit A structured review of everything you have published, scoring each page so you know what to keep, refresh, merge or delete. Content brief The one-page spec a writer works from: target keyword, search intent, audience, outline, links and the angle. Content decay The slow drop in traffic a page suffers over time as it ages and competitors update theirs. Content distribution The deliberate work of getting published content in front of people, as opposed to publishing it and hoping search does the rest. Content moat A body of content so deep and useful that competitors can't realistically catch up, giving you a durable advantage. Content operations The people, process and tooling that move a piece from idea to published and keep it moving without anyone chasing it. Content pruning Deliberately removing or redirecting low-value pages so the pages that matter get more crawl attention and cleaner signals. Content refresh Updating an existing page's stats, examples and angle to win back rankings instead of writing something new. Content repurposing Turning one piece of content into several formats for different channels, so the thinking gets paid for once and used repeatedly. Content ROI The return on what you spend producing and distributing content, measured against revenue rather than traffic. Content strategy The decisions about who you are writing for, what you will and will not cover, and why that produces a commercial result. Everything downstream is execution. Content velocity How much you publish per period, and how consistently, which matters more than either number alone. Customer journey The path a buyer takes from not knowing they have a problem to choosing a solution, and the content each stage requires.
