Top 100 AI Tools (in a table, categorised)
Seven tools on the last version of this list are dead.
Not “pivoting.” Not “sunsetting gracefully.” Gone. Sora burned roughly a million dollars a day and made $2.1 million in its entire life before OpenAI killed the app in April. DALL-E 3 got switched off in May, and there is no DALL-E 4 coming. Tome deleted every deck its users hadn’t exported. Play.ht vanished so completely that the domain no longer resolves.
That is what happened in fourteen months to a list of the biggest names in AI.
So this update is not a pricing patch. Every tool below was checked against its live product page in July 2026. Dead tools are out. Renamed tools carry their new names. Models pretending to be products got replaced by the thing you actually log into. And there is a new category, AI search visibility, because that is where the budget is moving and most tool lists still haven’t noticed.

What changed since the last version
Thirteen entries came off. Sora, DALL-E 3, Tome, Play.ht, and Galileo AI are dead. Arc Search is frozen in maintenance mode while its team builds Dia at Atlassian. Pi technically still answers, but Inflection moved on to enterprise work and the product has barely shipped since Microsoft took its founders.
Windsurf is now Devin Desktop. Same editor, new name, and Cascade hit end of life on July 1.
Three entries were listing models instead of products. Imagen and Veo are model strings you reach through something else. Flow is the thing you open, so Flow is what’s listed. Nano Banana replaces Imagen for the same reason.
Two were saying the same thing twice. Google Workspace Gemini was just Gemini. Microsoft 365 Copilot was just Copilot. Claude Cowork was just Claude.
In their place: the five best AI search visibility platforms, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Clay, Instantly, Cartesia, Plus AI, Google Stitch, ChatGPT Images, and Nano Banana.
The count is still 100. It just means something now.
The category worth your attention
If you skim one row block, make it AI Search Visibility.
Profound went from a seed round in August 2024 to a billion-dollar valuation in eighteen months. That is not a tool getting popular. That is a budget line appearing out of nothing because CMOs opened ChatGPT, asked it to recommend a product in their category, and did not hear their own name.
The catch nobody sells you on: monitoring is not optimizing. These platforms tell you where you are invisible. They do not fix it. The fixing is still writing, still positioning, still someone deciding what your company is actually for. Buy the dashboard and you have bought a very expensive way to watch a number.
Which is the same trap as every other row on this list. The tools save the doing. They have never saved the thinking. AI didn’t cause content blindness; marketers did, by pointing a hundred tools at the same empty message.
If you want the message sorted first and the tooling second, that is what we do. Start with a free brief, or book a call.
